Prevent HIV. Take Control of Your Health.
Welcome to the WindRose Health Network's HIV PrEP Program.
We are committed to empowering individuals to protect themselves against HIV transmission with Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). Whether you are at high risk or simply want to stay informed, our program is here to support you every step of the way.
About PrEP
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a daily medication that can greatly reduce the risk of contracting HIV. When taken consistently, PrEP has been shown to be up to 99 percent effective in preventing HIV transmission. It's a powerful tool in the fight against HIV.
PrEP Candidates
PrEP is recommended for individuals who are:
- HIV negative
- Engage in sexual activity with partners of unknown HIV status or who are HIV positive;
- Have injected drugs or shared needles in the past six months; or
- Engage in high-risk behaviors.
